Hello ...

I'm Caroline and along with my husband, the ever patient Mr G, we run our artisan bakery in South West London. We have happily been suppplying our local restaurants, cafes and tea shops with indulgent handmade cakes, brownies, cookies and flapjacks for a while now. Our carrot cake is a long standing favourite with something of a cult following, winning Gold at the Great Taste Awards.

Great Bakes was created out of this thriving local business and a desire to reach more customers, giving YOU the opportunity to enjoy our bakes at home. Further inspiration came when our daughter headed off to University, I found myself searching out little gifts to send. This proved very popular with her and gave me the sense of connection that I was craving. Then the penny dropped, if I so loved sending her little treats then perhaps lots of other fresh University parents would feel the same way, why not turn my bakes into post friendly gifts? And so, Great Bakes online was born, here now to solve all your gifting dilemmas, whatever the reason, treat the ones you love to a GREAT BAKE. Cheaper than flowers and a lot tastier!

About our Products:

Choose from our range of dark, decadent fudgy Brownies or our unique creation, Stickyjack, an outrageous combination - crispy oat base, rich, bitter sweet sticky caramel, dark chocolate and all finished off with a crumbly crunchy topping. I like to describe this as the love child of an indulgent Millionaires shortbread and a crunchy buttery flapjack!

Every order is baked fresh, using the finest ingredients. Once out of the oven and cool, they are wrapped, tied and packed in a neat stay-fresh tin. Even your personal message is hand written resulting in a truly artisan gift.

Refills:

If you would like to save on the packaging, order a refill - all the same deliciousness but without the tin. Good for our planet and ideal if you already have a tin or want to treat someone multiple times.
