The main components of the ‘Stress-Strain-Information-Coping-Support’ Model can be measured both quantitatively (using standardised questionnaires) and qualitatively. The group of AFINet members who developed the SSICS Model have used the four questionnaires in this section [AFINet Four Questionnaires] to measure Stress, Strain, Coping and Support. The section also contains some papers outlining how we have used them, and their psychometric properties. There is also a paper outlining some of our qualitative work examining the same areas. Finally there is a copy of a single shorter questionnaire [5-Step Method FMQ (SQFM-AA)], developed from these four longer questionnaires: the Short Questionnaire for Family Members (Affected by Addiction), also known as the FMQ, and a paper outlining how that was developed.
